Windows Server 2022 not shutting down Windows. I ran a pathping from the DC, it resolves through itself first as DNS is running but then comes up empty with the destination host.Ī technician from the company that leases the machine to us ran a firmware update and even tried cloning the settings from the 5070 but still no luck. I thought maybe the DC doesn't trust the host because it's not part of the domain but if that were the case it should block the other MFP as well since it's not joined. I see that some newer models of Sharps intergrate with AD but I didn't see anything about the 5141. The permissions on the folder are set correctly. My inclination was to re-point the workstations and the 5070 to that machine but that still doesn't answer why the 5141 is unable to connect to the share on DC. I thought maybe a firewall issue but that leads me to question why the 5070 goes through.Įven stranger, I created a share on the Exchange server for Scans as a test and the 5141 will send to that machine, although the transmission is slow. I've tried the folder using the admin name and also domain\admin name. On the 5141, if I make a change to the network folder address settings, the first scan goes through but then the connection is blocked. I did a double check on the SMB protocols and the server has them enabled.
The 5070 has no problems with ping either way and scans to the shared folder go through right away. I changed the IP (didn't think the address was bad and it isn't), ran it on DHCP to see if I had incorrect IP settings but the two hosts are still unable to see each other. I did a little digging and found a few things which are quite strange.įrom the 5141, I can ping any host on the network but the DC.
For some reason, it will not connect steadily to the shared folder on the DC. Printing works flawlessly but we can only scan from one MFP successfully.
We have two servers, one is a DC and the second is running Exchange as a member server. I recently did a domain migration to Win Server 2016, actually a cross-forest migration.
